Come and learn the art of Kokedama in a full hands on classroom setting with Caroline from Koju Kokedama.
In this workshop Caroline will take you through the process of creating Kokedama while you make 2 of your very own Kokedama to take home and enjoy.
Caroline will also be sharing all of her hints and tips she has learnt along the way!

We will cover :
- Plant selection - Favourite plants to Kokedama
- Soil preparation - The recipe for a healthy Kokedama
- The 'mudball' stage - The beginnings of your Kokedama
- The 'mossball' stage - Introduction to Koju Kokedamas special thread technique
- Final twine wrap & presentation - How to get that wrap looking professional
- How to care for your Kokedama - Tips on keeping it looking amazing

All materials are covered in the ticket price for you to make 2 of your own medium sized Kokedama. Aprons & gloves will be provided because creating plant art with soil can sometimes get messy!

Over two sessions-

In Session One-

Make your piece of pottery, whether that be a mug, plate, platter, vase, or whatever you’re thinking of making.

It’s then sent to get fired after it drys.

In Session Two-

Glaze date to be confirmed, youll be invited back and you can glaze your pieces. It then it goes for a final firing and can be collected at a later date.

Tickets are $180.00, includes a drink and snacks for each session.

Raising funds for Orewa Hospice!

Please bring in any good quality clothing and accessories between 8am and 10am and swap them for a new look at 12pm! You will be given a token for however man pieces you add to the swap,

eg. 5 pieces in, take 5 pieces home.

$5 Koha will go towards raising funds for our local hospice!

Bring your diary, some paper or use some of ours, and lets scrap, yap and plan out the month ahead!
